Nokona Athletic Goods is the last of the old-time baseball glove makers left in the United States. Although Nocona Boots are no longer manufactured here, (the company was relocated following the death of Miss Enid), other leather goods companies continue the community's heritage. The Montague Boot Co. is the creator of fine handcrafted western boots in the tradition that Nocona has become famous for. Specialty leather western belts are the trademark of the Rebirth Leathers. While, Texas Turf Supplies creates a variety of leather goods for horses and personal use. Besides leather, Nocona is home to many small, successful businesses including Nocona Cabinets, Nocona Envelope and Tag Company, Nocona Phoenix Corporation, RKW Machine and many others. |
