Lake Nocona is located ten miles North of the city. The lake is well stocked with bass, crappie, catfish and hybrid stripers. Lake Nocona offers many reational opportunities. Facilities include a marina, lakeside RV spaces and camping grounds, and three public parks with boat ramps and fishing piers. Lake Nocona is classified as the fourth-best bass fishing lake in Texas.
