Nocona provides access to a wide range of supportive services through its Type A and Type B Economic Development Corporations. Networking local, state, federal, private and commercial resources to ensure successful businesses, Nocona EDCs strive to match the best opportunities and needs fulfillment possible.
Financially, a full range of innovative loans, grants, subsidies and supportive services have been implemented and successfully completed on a wide variety of current and previous projects. Whether manufacturing, retail, services, restaurants, hotels or original entrepreneurial endeavors, Nocona EDCs’ staff works diligently to assist in creating, retaining and expanding successful businesses efforts in the community. Be it SBA loan guarantees, Capital Fund loan programs, USDA Rural Business Enterprise Loans, the Texas Leverage Fund program, local investors, low and no interest loans, or community 360 agreements, matching resources to needs serves as a vital mission for the NEDCs.
Helping create and maintain a viable workforce through training programs developed locally, regionally or Texas-wide programs also ranks high in resources provided by the NEDCs’ staff. Close relations with the Texas Workforce Commission, the North Texas Workforce Solutions Office, North Central Texas College, Small Business Development Centers and many other resources ensures a full complement of assistance programs.
Although Nocona already offers little red tape or governmental interference, NEDCs’ staff works diligently at the regional and state level to procure legislative and governmental assistance when needed. Participation in a wide variety of professional organizations also ensures current trends, resources and programs are included in resources made available to local business owners and managers.
The Nocona Economic Development Corporations staff stands ready to craft successful projects and programs for today’s businesses interested in becoming part of the Nocona experience.
